If you stumbled upon this blog, welcome.  The words written here are mine in the sense that I have created them and am writing as a means of conveying information about study and practice (mostly).

I’m writing from the perspective of a middle school and high school teacher at a small school in New Mexico.  My background is varied and includes a childhood in Georgia, life and study in Montana and New Mexico, and the choice to teach students History, Culture, Philosophy, and Religion.  My family includes wonderful, curious children and a world of challenges and laughter that comes at me all the time.  Ultimately, all I really want to do is understand the truth: that it’s all about love and compassion and, also and most importantly, it’s not about me.
